The study of the East Tower was commissioned by the SIEDC. I believe the study will be forthcoming rather soon (the next few weeks), but the people at SIEDC would be better able to answer that.
I suspect that some but not all questions will be answered by the study (which is typically the case, and is the case with the NCOR-cogs study).
Check out all the great action on the Green from this past weekend. Were you able to make it out? This could be the last year for the ice rink at this location if a Joint Justice Center is built here. Any thoughts?
The East Tower will be open for tours as part of Tiffin’s Winterfest December 6 and 7 from noon until 4 p.m.
An historical structure built in 1893 and formerly the building housing the East Junior High School and Columbian High School at the corner of East Market & Jefferson Streets, the East Tower is available for development, including use as the site of the proposed Joint Justice Center.
Case in point, he purchased the East Junior High building to prevent another historical building demolished by the wrecking ball, like our icon of the county, our beautiful courthouse. Kalnow has offered the East Junior High to the city and county to be converted into the much-discussed justice center. The building is beautiful, historical and structurally sound, and can be converted by an architectural firm into a beautiful justice center.
